Big KRIT Custom DJ Booth From a 1975 Cadillac DeVille
Big KRIT, is a hip hop recording artist and record producer, that contacted Mr. Kustom to custom fabricate a 1975 Cadillac DeVille into a DJ Booth Enclosure for his live performances. Mr. Kustom was eager to jump on this opportunity to show their creativeness and craftsmanship.
Quickly, Mr. Kustom located a 1975 Cadillac DeVille as requested by Big KRIT. The vehicle was located in a small town in Nebraska, and was sitting in a field for over 25 years. The car was delivered to the Mr. Kustom facility located in Chicago, IL. Once the vehicle was in their establishment, the breakdown process began!
Shop Manager Brian Ganz, took the lead on the Big KRIT Custom DJ Booth project. With his (Brian Ganz) immense knowledge in custom fabrication and design, Brian set forth to build one of a kind DJ Booth into a flawless masterpiece.
Brian immediately started to break down the car and fabricate a custom frame to support the pieces of the DJ booth when it’s assembled.
After the DJ Booth was completely fabricated, Brian started on the fine details that makes this custom DJ Booth unlike no other. All chrome trim was polished to bring back the original luster and beauty, and the headlights were smoked a nice shade to bring a sleek look to the front of the DJ Booth. Custom Big KRIT crowns were Water Jetted out of aluminum to add the artist’s signature logo to the license plate area, and inside panels of the booth.
Behind the smoked headlights on this 1975 Cadillac DeVille, Brian added high powered RGB LED lights to have the headlights glow different colors and change patterns as the booth is being used. The DJ booth was painted 1975 Tarragon Gold Poly 54, a request made by Big KRIT for a personal touch.
We were able to get a minute of Brian’s time and this is what he had to say about the Big KRIT DJ Booth Build:
“I was elated to take this project on and it was a pleasure to erect something out of nothing. This is for sure a one-of-a-kind build and nothing else out there like it.”
