WHAT IS A CUSTOM CAR PAINT JOB?

Our custom car paint packages consist of primer, basecoat of color and/or effects and clearcoat. Our paint jobs can range from simple 1 color, all the way to airbrushed effects with different paint finishes. Our paint department works very hard to stay up-to-date with the newest products available. With this knowledge behind us, we can paint any part of your vehicle from the outside, panels, engine compartment and any area you can think of.

PRIMER

The primer is the first coat to be applied. The main functions of the primer are to act as leveler, as a protector and make it easier to apply the base coat for the component it’s applied on.

BASECOAT

The base coat is applied after the primer coat. This coat contains the visual properties of color and effects, and is usually the one referred to as the paint which is either solid, metallic or candy.

CLEARCOAT

Usually sprayed on top of a colored basecoat, clearcoat is a glossy and transparent coating that forms the final interface with the paint job. The clearcoat must be durable enough to resist elements.
